What do I need ? You need a special NTP client. We do have a list of locations for you. These clients are rather small and do not have any special functionality except for that what you expect them to do: update the time.

Where can I connect ? In addition you will need a server, which you can connect to. Most of the time, these clients already are configured correctly for several timeservers. Here is a list with several time servers:

How do I work with time clients ? Well, these clients are doing nearly everything automatically. Just select or enter the address of a time server and then the client will get the current time and update the time accordingly. The only thing you have to pay attention to is, that the server, from which the time is read might be in a different time zone than you are. So a good NTP client should automatically calculate the time so it matches your time zone. Some clients require you to enter the time difference between you and the server and some clients automatically detect where you are living. This especially applies to Clients running under MS Windows. |
